Infinite Importance

(The picture, above, is the hill believed to be Golgotha.)

C.S. Lewis wrote, “Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and, if true, of infinite importance. The one thing it cannot be is modestly important.”

The Apostles were “working class” men. They knew Jesus, first hand. Some saw Jesus on the cross. After Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, they laid down their lives in service to Jesus, some in far distant lands. Why?

The Apostles knew that Jesus rose from the dead, that He is alive and He made a way for anyone (Jn 3:16) to be saved from eternal punishment and to live with God forever. They knew this message was infinitely important and was worth everything they had to tell this good news to others.

As we draw close to our annual celebration of Christ’s victory over death and the grave, let’s share this good news with all who will listen!
